The Norwegian painter Harald Sohlberg (1869-1935) stayed Sohlbergplassen, the viewing point at Atnsjøen lake, curves gently around slender pine trees. The platform frames the view of Atnsjøen and the round mountains in Rondane almost as it appears in Harald Sohlberg’s painting ”Winter night in the mountains”. The viewpoint has been named one of Norway’s most important buildings and has received several awards for good design and material use.
